Yet again, the forum is back up ... I had to password protect the main entry to kill the spammers (user-name:b4c0n / password:4ndch33z3) ... it's a lil' annoying having extra junk to enter to get in, but it sure beats the crap out of dealing with all the friggin' spam ...

Bad news ... my Grandmother Lydia (my mothers mom) died saturday ... she was 91 ... she was admitted to the hospital last week but sent home friday for hospice care ... the whole family was around to care for her ... she was a good mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed ...
Good news ... my long-time friend Brandon Mull's wife Brook gave birth to a son over the weekend ... healthy and beautiful (Brandon dropped by just long enough to show me lots of pics :D) ... "William Saxton Royce Exavier Mull" ... if that ain't a mouthfull, haha ... congrats Brandon, Brook and now big sis Skyler ...
All that over one weekend ... it's interesting, the circles life makes ...

I tried to install some anti-spammer mods and completely crashed the forum, haha ... It's back up now ... and I DID get some anti-spam shiznit installed ... we'll see if it works or not ... I HAD to do SOMETHING ... I was getting a friggin' crapload of spam accounts every day ... annoying deleting them all every day ... using whatever ends up working here to block the spam on Lariat's forum as well ...

I and my live sound company partner Steven Stafford (Tornado Alley Productions) ran sound for Israel Fest at the Jewish community center sunday. The headline act, Seeds of Sun (New York), was amazing. I really had a blast working with them. Great folks. Awesome drummer. We'll get to work with them again in October. Looking forward to it.
My Musical shitz:
Got a possible live-duo-acoustic project in the works. Having a meet/jam wednesday to see if that'll fly or not. It would be really nice to play live again ... and in my comfy zone - guitar and vocals. I'll post more info if it works out.

Just finished another experiment with the new vid-cam ... basically just me dorking around playing one-man-band ... all vid is live takes of the keeper audio tracks ... everything was recorded thru a single R0DE NT5 mic (yes, Matt A, INCL the drums, heh), except for the bass, which was recorded direct ... and thusly, all the audio tracks are live straight-shots ... not perfect ... but it cured the boredom :D ...

WOW!!! ... I'm married! ... THE love of my life is with me forever!!! ... a HAPPY, HAPPY boy am I now! ... and life is good! ...
Sooo ... the honeymoon on the beach in paradise wasn't exactly at the humidity level, temperature or wind speed that we'd hoped, BUT it was still freakin' great ... way ass south Texas/ALMOST Mexico ... the drive was tons of fun, it was beautiful there ... AND ... the whole time ... we ate VERY WELL, heh ... "Good times, good times", heh ... I'll post alotta' pics in the next few days ...
Right NOW, we're settling into home together ... intermingling our belongings and making a royal mess, haha ... already got the wifey's comp connected to the network, making the mass of computer idiocy here even more confusing, heh ... just gotta' get the cable TV upgraded and run into the bedroom and we're all set :D ...
Anyways ... I've never been happier in my life ... everything I've ever wanted is right here ... I feel sooo freakin' blessed ... I thank God every time I think about all of this great fortune that He has bestowed upon me ... and again I say "Life is good!".
Studio & Website shitz:
Ok ... NOW I go on to getting shit moving ... time for much work to enter new stages ... nearing some form of completion ... we'll be looking for a new house soon ... which will mean a studio/lab move ... that will be an upgrade ... you all know how I hate driving to work ... must wake up with most of my work in the next room ... AND be able to do the mass of it in my underbritches, hehe ... as soon as we find a place, I'll put ad's back in ye ol' yellow-pages ... it'll feel good to be all publicly advertised again ... ALSO gotta' get my own music back on course and find a backing band ... tired of letting it sit only online ... playing bass (and singing a lil') with Lariat helped me to remember how much I completely adore performing live ... I've really missed it ...
Oh ... and did I forget to mention how happy I am, now married to my lovely new wife Amy? ... hehe ... and yet again I say "Life is good!" ... hehe ... smile on everyone ... it's a really groovey, unpredictable world ... and Christ takes care of His own ...

Sooo ... here I sit at home ... the wedding is this coming saturday ... I'm supposed to leave for Dallas in the morning ... we got alotta' shit to do this week ... AND one of the biggest, nasty winter storms we've had in a long time is blasting outside ... roads covered in 3 days worth of sleet and freezing rain ... AND the temperature is supposed to stay near freezing all week ... UGH! ...
Oh, well ... I guess even in it's annoyingness ... it still has it's beauty ...
Sucks that Mr 4-Runner isn't running right now ... could'a used me some 4-wheel drive ... oh, well ... I'll get there ... one way or another ...
